Chamber’s Agri-Business Award Goes to WCCO Belting, Inc., in Wahpeton, Article in Wahpeton Daily News

The 2017 Outstanding Agri-Business Award was presented to Wahpeton-based WCCO Belting, Inc. Remily shared the history of the custom-built rubber belt company, which manufactures belting for agriculture, light industrial, construction, sand and gravel, packaging and recycling industries across the globe.

WCCO ships its products to more than 20 countries worldwide and in 2017, company sales increased by 25 percent over 2016, Remily said. During the past year, WCCO has experienced positive workforce stability, retaining current staff and increasing headcount by 20 percent.

“In 2017, WCCO Belting earned its third Prairie Business magazine 50 Best Places to Work award,” Remily shared. “In 2016, the company earned the President’s E-Star Award, which is given to companies that have achieved 10 consecutive years of export growth. Today WCCO Belting remains the only company in North Dakota to earn this award.

“Keeping with its history as an innovator in the rubber belting industry, WCCO Belting continues to send innovative products through the patent process in 2017. As a result, the company is currently preparing to announce exciting patent pending advancements,” Remily said.

WCCO Belting, Inc., CEO and President Tom Shorma thanked the Chamber for the award on behalf of his company.
