Needless to say, I was eager to see Heitkamp when she stopped by WCCO Belting on Friday, May 11. She was just as eager to be there.

“WCCO is a true North Dakota success story,” Heitkamp said following the visit. “(It’s) a family business that exports its high quality products across the world, supporting the local community in Wahpeton and every farmer who relies on their equipment.”

Heitkamp also touched upon the importance of fighting for smart trade policies. “Tariffs and disruptions to NAFTA (the North American Free Trade Agreement) pose a real threat to WCCO’s ability to reach its customers and state ahead of the competition,” she continued.
