WCCO Belting CEO shows support of local colleges’ partnership agreement that promotes student success to combat workforce shortages
Tom Shorma, our CEO/President, spoke at a press conference on Monday, June 18, in Fargo showing support for North Dakota State University (NDSU) and North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) in their decision to allow students to seamlessly transfer between the schools.
Tom attended the event speaking as a representative from the business sector to share his passion around the decision. “My business and ones like it benefit from this kind of collaboration,” he said. “It creates a workforce with various skills so open jobs can be filled.” Tom praised the two schools for their collaboration which will help create a stronger workforce for the state.
