Join WCCO's talented Facilities & Maintenance team – who builds all our equipment in-house! – and use your creativity to help us manufacture products for farmers all over the world. No one makes belts quite like we do, so this is a hands-on role for producing unique parts and components. As a Machinist-Toolmaker for WCCO Belting, you will be actively engaged in supporting our quality, production output, safety, new product development, and more.
Plans layout and performs all bench and machine operations to produce a wide variety of intricately designed parts of an exacting nature for tools, jigs fixtures, gages, mechanisms, etc. as required. Makes suggestions for engineering design improvements.
Works with engineering, quality and other personnel on special or complex tooling. Conducts checks through the use of fixed or adjustable precision measuring devices.
Performs developmental and experimental work as assigned, including but not limited to: Inspects parts, makes repairs, lubricates and cleans machines, grind and sharpen machine and cutting tools to meet production needs and quality requirements.
Designs and builds jigs/fixtures for the construction of tooling as needed;
Program and set-up CNC machine tools using CAD/CAM software;
Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
