Breckenridge Holds Student Showcase, Article in Wahpeton Daily News

Tom Shorma, CEO/President of WCCO Belting, attended the Breckenridge High School Student Showcase on Monday, January 13 as a member of the career and employment panel to discuss business with students. Tom shared with students about the job skills needed for the 21st century and beyond.

In response to the question posed by facilitator, Principal Craig Peterson, "What are the skills you are looking for in students in colleges and as employers for one to be considered successful?”, Tom is quoted in an article in the Wahpeton Daily News, stating:

“We asked them (WCCO employees) specifically in 2019, ‘What does someone need to be successful at WCCO?’ Here is how our team responded back to us: they need a strong work ethic, positive attitude, compassion, and willingness to learn, adapt and change,” Shorma said.
