In addition to manufacturing industrial belts for industries like agriculture and mining, Continental’s Wahpeton, N.D. facility has been machining tooling for other Continental facilities to help keep their systems and processes running smoothly. With some machining shops overbooked and overloaded with orders, the Wahpeton facility has stepped up and helped out other facilities within the company because it has the technology to do so.
The Wahpeton facility is one of the only Continental facilities that has machining capabilities to make its own tooling. This saves the facility - and now some of its sister facilities in places like Brazil, Kansas and Nebraska - time and money.
