Celebrating National Manufacturing Day at the Wahpeton Facility, Blog Post

The Wahpeton facility celebrated National Manufacturing Day, with a variety of activities for employees including:
- Donuts for breakfast and a safety scavenger hunt on Monday.
- On Tuesday, we hosted "Duck Day," a game with rubber ducks in a "pond" to challenge employees on the 5S principles of LEAN manufacturing, and had a Red Tag Challenge, where employees could tag any items in their work area that they didn't think were needed. The items were then reviewed to determine if they were needed.
- Quality Awareness Day on Wednesday with a video presentation from Continental’s sector Quality Leader, Melanie Lees.
- Special employee cook-out for lunch on Thursday for every shift.
- Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 4!
We were also pleased to invite in the Wahpeton Daily News for an interview and plant tour in honor of National Manufacturing Day. Thanks to all of our employees who contribute to making the belts that help make the world go around!
